Resumé du document : L’une des caractéristiques des sociétés africaines est la solidarité entre les individus d’une même communauté, d’un même village, d’un même pays ou même au delà. Cette solidarité se manifeste par une forte prédominance des échanges et des transferts. Historiquement ces transferts se faisaient entre familles ou villages mais de nos jours avec la mondialisation et son corollaire de forte mobilité des biens et des personnes à travers le monde, ces transferts ont changé d’envergure bien que les principes fondamentaux soient les même. Aussi les moyens de communication ne sont pas restés en marge de ce progrès au contraire ils constituent le socle même de ce nouveau paradigme. La sous région Ouest africaine s’inscrit dans cette même logique et particulièrement le Burkina Faso marquée par son fort taux de diaspora liée toutefois les questions qui peuvent se poser sont les suivantes : Quel est l’état des lieux des transferts au Burkina Faso ? Quel est le niveau d’utilisation des terminaux mobiles dans ces transferts au Burkina Faso ? Quels sont les besoins en matière de transferts des terminaux mobiles ? Quelles sont les arguments des individus à propos des transferts et l’utilisation des terminaux mobiles ? Autant de questions qui nous intéressent dans cette étude essentiellement descriptive et comportementale. Afin d’apporter des éléments de réponse à ces différentes interrogations l’étude va adopter le plan suivant : Premièrement nous aborderons les objectifs de l’étude, les difficultés rencontrées, la démarche adoptée, ensuite nous ferons une revue de quelques études sur les transferts et l’utilisation du mobile au Burkina Faso et enfin nous présenterons les résultats de l’étude.
