De 1999 à 2001, le nombre d’abonnés au Burkina Faso est passé de 900 à 3 000 1. En Afrique, pour cette même période, on passait de 578 175 à 1 351 075 abonnés. L’Afrique du Sud, avec plus d’un million d’abonnés en 2001, est de très loin le pays le plus « connecté » du continent. Le reste de l’Afrique, qui rassemble plus de 94 % de la population, est quant à lui très peu connecté. |
