De façon globale, les estimations aboutissent à la conclusion que le taux d’utilisation de l’Internet est très faible au Bénin (14,08%) et qu’il existe une fracture numérique de genre au détriment des femmes en matière d’utilisation d’Internet car les femmes ont un tiers de chances en moins d’accéder à cette technologie comparativement aux hommes. Le niveau d’éducation et l’utilisation de l’ordinateur apparaissent comme significatifs et sont positivement corrélés avec la probabilité d’utiliser l’Internet au Bénin. Quand à l’âge, il a un effet négatif sur la probabilité d’utilisation de l’Internet. L’analyse montre aussi que la probabilité d’utiliser l’Internet au Bénin diminue au fur et à mesure que l’on quitte les zones urbaines pour les zones rurales.
